About VTAS:
Victoria Trail Agricultural Society (VTAS) is a not-for-profit community group that provides programs, services and facilities to Waskatenau, Alberta, and the surrounding area. We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to manage our digital platforms, promote events and assist with other marketing tasks as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and update two websites built on WordPress – VTAS (victoriatrailag.com) and VTAS Fitness Centre (vtasfitnesscentre.com)
- Write news articles for VTAS (as needed) and monthly blog articles for VTAS Fitness Centre
- Design graphics using Canva for upcoming events and activities, such as VTAS Fair Days in Waskatenau, equestrian events, fitness programs and more
- Create and send a monthly VTAS Fitness Centre newsletter using MailChimp and generate new subscribers
- Manage VTAS and VTAS Fitness Centre Facebook pages, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to messages and comments, and completing advertising campaigns (as needed)
- Assist VTAS volunteers with managing Gmail accounts, including responding to online inquiries
- Develop sponsorship packages, VTAS presentations and other materials as required
- Track and implement sponsorship deliverables, such as creating certificates of appreciation, proofing newspaper ads, completing digital deliverables and more
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials
- Manage payments for website domains, themes and other products
- Assist with other marketing tasks as requested by the VTAS Executive Committee
Requirements to be successful:
- Qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, responsive and self-motivated
- Experience using social media platforms for marketing purposes, including Facebook
- Experience using marketing software, including WordPress, Canva and MailChimp
- Exceptional written communication skills
