Looking for a space to host your next event?
VTAS Indoor Arena is available for riders, horse shows, livestock clinics and special events. It’s an 85’ x 185’ indoor facility that’s insulated and heated for year-round activities.
The facility includes bleacher seating for 150 people, a PA system for announcements and clean washrooms. Camping space is located within one block from the arena and the local Waskatenau Motel is across the road.
Additionally, a skateboard and basketball park is located directly across from the facility, which is converted to an outdoor ice rink during winter months.

Rental Rates
VTAS Indoor Arena rental rates are set to cover basic utility and maintenance costs.
Effective October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, our rental rates are:
- Annual Membership – Horse Riding
- Adult (18+) | $290 per year
- Family (2 parents and children 17 and under in one household) | $390 per year
- Youth (7 – 17) | $100 per year
- Child (6 and under) | Free (Must be accompanied by an adult member)
- Private Bookings – Horse Riding
- Riding Members | $30 per hour
- Non-Member Accompanying an Adult Member (18+) | $20 per person
- Non-Member Riders | $30 per hour for up to three riders
- Additional fee is $10 per hour for more than three riders
- Special Events & Clinics
- $30 per hour
- $300 per day (requires a $50 non-refundable deposit)
Bookings & Waivers
Please view our VTAS Indoor Arena guidelines before making your booking. Here you’ll find information about the use of our facility, instructions upon arrival and and requirements before leaving the arena.
Additionally, it’s mandatory for all horse riders to complete our waiver and release of liability form on an annual basis. Waivers can be printed, signed and emailed to plaz@telusplanet.net or deposited in the collection box at VTAS Arena.

Payment Options
Payment options include:
- E-transfer – Send your payment to plaz@telusplanet.net
- Cheque – Leave a cheque made out to Victoria Trail Agricultural Society in the deposit box located at the arena

Public Ride Times
All horse riding members must complete a riding form before utilizing VTAS Indoor Arena. Once membership is paid in full, members receive a key to the facility to enable easy access, which requires a $40 refundable deposit. Members are welcome to utilize the facility at any time and must sign in during each visit using a PID number.

Private Ride Times
Private bookings must be made 24 hours in advance and are on a first come, first served basis. All users must ensure scheduled times are adhered to, including clean-up, which must be completed within the allocated time slot.
